Who are The Sustainable Boys?
You’ve probably already figured it out: we’re a group of tough guys and ladies with a mission. We are professionals who believe in a sustainable, self-sufficient future. We install home batteries, solar panels, air conditioners, charging stations and heat pumps.

What does your day look like as a heat pump technician?
You start the day with a cup of coffee and a short but powerful tool box. Today is scheduled for an installation at a customer who has opted for a heat pump. You get into your company car and drive to your first job. You’ve already gone over the quote and installation plan, so you know exactly what needs to be done. Once you arrive at the customer’s house, you first chat – after all, you’re not just a technician, you’re a consultant. A friendly chat while you get to work on the installation.
After installation, you give a clear explanation to the customer and check that everything is to their satisfaction. Then you jump back in the car for a maintenance job or service: an existing installation that needs just that little bit of extra love to perform optimally again. You end the day with no breakdowns and satisfied customers. Mission accomplished!
A positive, but above all professional appearance is indispensable in this work. Within our team and towards our customers, we find this very important. You are also accurate, proactive, flexible and reliable. Colleagues can always count on you.
What will you do?
- Installing heat pumps on residential customers as if it were second nature.
- Perform maintenance work and ensure that plants are kept running smoothly.
- Troubleshoot failures and resolve them expertly with your technical skills.
- Reassuring customers with clear advice and explanations about their new sustainable systems.
- Delivering everything neatly and safely, because that’s what we stand for at The Sustainable Boys.
What we ask:
- You have experience as a mechanic in installation technology, preferably with heat pumps or heating technology.
- The CO Craftsmanship certificate and STEK/F-gases cat. 1 are no secrets for you (or you are willing to obtain them).
- A mbo degree in installation engineering, or similar training
- You work neatly, think with the customer and have a driver’s license B.
- You are independent but also a team player who equally enjoys working with colleagues.
