43 solar panels with Enphase IQ Battery 10T home battery
At Mr. Van Basten Batenburg’s house, we realized a complete field installation. The installation consists of a row of 43 Longi Solar Mono Black Frame solar panels. In addition, we installed an Enphase IQ Battery 10T home battery.
All solar panels are individually equipped with Enphase micro-inverters. The great advantage of micro-inverters is that they optimize the performance of each individual panel. This means that if one panel gets shaded or performs less well, the other panels are not affected. This installation is ideal for Mr. Van Basten Batenburg, as the setup is on the edge of a wooded area. When there is shadow on one of the panels, the other panels continue to generate power. In a system with a central inverter, the shadow on one panel would affect the entire system and stop power generation.
The excess production from the solar panels can be stored in the Enphase home battery. This allows Mr. Van Basten Batenburg to use the stored power when the sun is not shining. This prevents him from having to feed the overcapacity back to the grid, so he does not have to pay feed-in costs. Through the Enphase application, Mr. Van Basten Batenburg can monitor his energy consumption and production in real time. This allows him to use power efficiently in conjunction with the home battery.
